The first thing you will notice about Logan, Utah is that it is incredibly beautiful with endless options for outdoor recreation. However, beautiful does not mean boring in Logan. We are internationally renowned for our performing arts and our residents enjoy excellent art galleries, specialty shops, Mormon pioneer architecture, community festivals, and live performances throughout the year.
Located at the foot of the nearly 10,000 foot high Beaver River Range, the scenery here is stunning as it evolves throughout the year with unique qualities of each season. A popular way to experience these unique and breathtaking views is by taking the 40 minute drive through nearby Logan Canyon to Bear Lake. Spanning nearly 20 miles with turquoise water and white sandy beaches, Bear Lake is known as “the Caribbean of the Rockies”. Whether you enjoy hiking, biking, camping, skiing, or golfing, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy our incomparable scenery.
Beyond exploring the great outdoors, there is so much to do in Logan. Take a “Gallery Walk” through our historical downtown, experience our rich performing arts culture at Ellen Eccles Theatre, or enjoy live music at Cherry Peak during our summer concert series. The northern area of Logan serves partly as a retail district with numerous shops and restaurants, including the Cache Valley Mall.
We asked our employees what they liked most about living in Logan. Here’s what they had to say:
“ Bear Lake is a popular resort destination that offers boating, jet skiing, scuba diving, fishing, swimming, and sailing in the summer”
“We have many hiking trails in the valley. Some of the most popular are the Wind Caves hike, the Crimson Trail, and there is a Logan River Trail right in Logan”
“Logan is a great place to raise a family and was named the second safest city in America!”
